Strategy consultant

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:

CIC energiGUNE needs to incorporate a strategy consultant within its Strategic and Economic-Financial area.

The selected person will provide support to the Management&Services area of CIC energiGUNE and his/her functions will include:

• Support in the development of strategic plans and annual management plans, as well as their monitoring.
• Development of market and business reports.
• Competitive surveillance and benchmarking.
• Conducting feasibility analyses of new technology-based companies.
• Support in the valuation of the portfolio of patents and services.
• Strategic support activities to other key areas of the centre's Management and Services team (e.g. Business Development, Communication, IT...).
• Support in project justification project activities.

Thanks to its work, the centre has positioned itself as a world reference in its field, contributing to the strengthening of the Basque Country in the field of sustainable energies and promoting projects of a strategic nature for both the Basque and European industrial fabric.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTITUTION:

CIC energiGUNE is a research center specialized in energy, electrochemical energy storage (batteries and supercapacitors), thermal energy solutions and hydrogen, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance- BRTA, and a strategic initiative of the Basque Government. CIC energiGUNE was created in 2011 to generate excellent knowledge and at the same time useful for the Basque business network, being a reference in knowledge transfer.

CIC energiGUNE has a team of almost 200 people, 165 of whom are top researchers with a wide range of up-to-date facilities that are fully available for all its researchers. Also, the European Commission has recently (2019) awarded CIC energiGUNE with the ´HR Excellence in Research´ which reflects its commitment to achieving fair and transparent recruitment and appraisal procedures and certifies the existence of a stimulating and favorable work environment for researchers in the institution.
