CIC energiGUNE is a research center specialized in energy, electrochemical storage (batteries and supercapacitors), thermal energy solutions and hydrogen, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance- BRTA, and, a strategic initiative of the Basque Government. CIC energiGUNE was created in 2011 to generate excellent knowledge and at the same time useful for the Basque business network, being a reference in knowledge transfer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
CIC energiGUNE is seeking an experienced person to work in the development of batch and continuous-flow reactors for the valorization of CO2 and/or plastic waste to decarbonized products and in catalysis field. The designed reactors will cover heating by conventional and non-conventional (microwaves, induction etc.,) heating sources. The selected person will participate in the Pathfinder OPEN project WASTE2H2, which received funding from European commission and is dedicated to develop by rational design novel ionic liquid-based catalytic systems to tackle efficient and selective plastic waste deconstruction to fuels and other decarbonized valuable materials under non-conventional heating sources. In addition, the selected candidate is expected to contribute to bust the new research line focused in catalytic systems development for efficient and selective CO2 conversion into e-fuels of fuels additives. The research will span basic to applied research technology for waste management.
