Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

CIC energiGUNE is recruiting a researcher for the Organic and Hybrid Materials Research Group for Na-ion Research Line.

Main job functions:

  • Rationally design and develop novel electrolytes for sodium-ion batteries.
  • Perform advanced characterization of electrolytes.
  • Investigate the interfacial behavior of electrolytes with electrodes, focusing on SEI formation from electrolyte stability point of view (degradation mechanism, role of electrolyte components).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams working on electrode design and cell assembly to integrate electrolytes into full-cell configuration.
  • Conduct electrochemical testing (e.g., EIS, CV, GITT) and analyze the results to understand the performance and overall degradation mechanisms

Requirements

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • PhD in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong background in electrolyte development for energy storage systems (e.g., sodium-ion batteries, lithium-ion batteries, or beyond).
  • Hands-on experience with electrochemical characterization techniques (EIS, CV, and galvanostatic cycling)
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of electrochemical results.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent level in English, both written and spoken (proficiency or equivalent).
