Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

CIC energiGUNE is recruiting a PhD candidate to pursue a doctoral thesis in advanced materials development for next-generation solid-state batteries, including material fabrication, electrochemical testing, and advanced characterization techniques.

The project will provide interdisciplinary training in materials science and electrochemistry, as well as experience in data analysis, scientific communication, and collaborative research within an international research environment.

Main job functions:

  • Design and develop advanced composite electrolytes for solid-state batteries.
  • Prepare and characterize materials using different experimental techniques.
  • Evaluate electrochemical performance and analyze the relationship between material structure and battery behavior.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams and communicate research results through reports, scientific publications, and presentations.
  • Prepare and complete a PhD thesis and successfully defend it at the end of the program.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • MSc degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrochemistry, or related fields.
  • Strong motivation to pursue a PhD in advanced battery materials and energy storage technologies.
  • Good communication and scientific writing skills in English.
